Authorities have identified a man they say was trespassing when he was struck and killed by an Amtrak train in Bucks County Saturday.
Amtrak spokesman Craig Schulz said the man has been identified as 27-year-old George Redner III.
Amtrak Keystone Service train 663 was Philadelphia-bound about 10:15 a.m. as it passed through the SEPTA Regional Rail station at Levittown-Tullytown, off of Bristol Pike and Fallsington Avenue in Levittown, when it struck Redner, Schulz said.
Redner was pronounced dead at the scene.
Schulz said Redner was trespassing and was not authorized to be on the tracks, which are private property.
The Amtrak train, which was carrying 304 passengers from New York, stopped while authorities conducted an investigation.
The train's passengers were transferred to a SEPTA train about 1 p.m. and continued on to 30th Street Station as the Amtrak train remained at the scene while authorities investigated the death, Schulz said.

SEPTA officials said service between Croydon Station and Trenton Transportation Center that had been suspended as a result of the investigation resumed about noon. Trains started making stops again at the Levittown station about 3:30 p.m.
No injuries to crew members or passengers on the Amtrak train were reported.
The deadly incident remains under investigation.
