$5M Lottery Ticket Sold in Montgomery County

Did you recently buy a lottery ticket from a store in Norristown, Montgomery County? Then it may be your lucky day.

Officials with the Pennsylvania Lottery announced on Tuesday that a jackpot-winning Match 6 Lotto ticket worth more than $5 million from the April 14 drawing was sold at Weis Markets, 25 W. Germantown Pike in Norristown, Montgomery County. It’s the game’s fourth largest jackpot on record.

The ticket matched all six winning numbers, 11-21-26-35-39-41, to win a jackpot of $5,021,688.50, less 25 percent federal withholding.

Weiss Markets will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The person who purchased the ticket has not yet come forward however.

Lottery officials say they can’t confirm the identity of the April 14 jackpot winner until he or she claims the prize and the ticket is validated. Match 6 winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.

If you purchased the winning ticket, be sure to sign the back of the ticket and call the Lottery at 717-702-8146. After that, file a claim at Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County, or at any of the Lottery’s seven area offices.

Claims may be filed at Lottery Headquarters Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at area offices.
