4 Dead, 291 Missing After S. Korea Ferry Sinks

At least four people are dead and 291 unaccounted for after a ferry carrying mainly students on a high school trip capsized and sank off South Korea's coast, NBC News reported. A government spokesman told reporters there had been 459 people on board the Sewol, including 325 students, 15 teachers, 89 other passengers and a crew of 30. A rescued passenger told The Associated Press that many people were trapped inside when the ferry sank. A U.S. Navy ship has joined the rescue effort, military officials said.
